Overview
This webinar provides an in depth review of every EIV tenant file report that HUD requires owners and agents to maintain throughout a resident's tenancy. Participants will learn when each report must be generated, how to interpret the information contained within each report, and what actions are required when discrepancies are identified.
The session walks through real world examples of common errors, documentation techniques, and investigation procedures that frequently result in Management and Occupancy Review findings. Special attention is given to distinguishing between owner errors, tenant errors, valid discrepancies, and situations that require no corrective action.
Participants will leave with practical tools they can immediately implement to improve file documentation, reduce audit findings, and strengthen compliance practices.
Why you should Attend
An EIV report sitting in a tenant file without proper review or documentation can create significant compliance risks during a Management and Occupancy Review. Many findings occur because staff do not fully understand what the reports are telling them, when additional investigation is required, or how to properly document their actions.
This training will help you recognize potential problems before HUD or your Contract Administrator does, giving you the knowledge and confidence to resolve issues correctly while protecting your property, your organization, and your residents.
