Overview:

What difference would it make if everyone in your team thought for themselves, solved problems, spotted opportunities, and took more responsibility? What could you do with the time this saved you? A Harvard study of more than 200 companies showed that strong cultures like this increase net income by over 765% over ten years. In this highly interactive and enjoyable masterclass we will explore how to create a culture of empowerment, with a few easy shifts. Today's leaders don't have to have all the answers anymore; but they must know the right questions to ask instead. You will leave with ideas to put in place immediately to get a measurable uplift in accountability and performance.

Areas Covered in the Session:

  • The essentials of a high-performance culture from Google's Project Oxygen - clarity, a coaching style and psychological safety
  • When to train and when to coach and the real differences between the two
  • How to give feedback in the moment to build capability and confidence
  • Setting solid practical and emotional boundaries, especially important in a distracting world
  • How to increase trust, both ways
  • How to maintain oversight of critical information and when to let go of the details
  • Who's got the monkey?  Delegation and setting RACIs
  • Insight into your own leadership style and how it can adapt to meet the current development needs of your team
