Overview
Somatic awareness - the ability to accurately sense and interpret your own bodily state - is a foundational, underdeveloped managerial skill.
This session teaches managers to use their own interoceptive signals as real-time data about team dynamics: tension, disengagement, escalation, and safety. Rather than treating "gut instinct" as vague or unreliable, participants learn to distinguish accurate body-based signals from noise, and to use that skill to read teams and situations with more precision.
Why you should Attend
Managers are constantly asked to "read the room" - but few are taught that the most reliable instrument for doing that is their own body. If you can't accurately read your own physiological state, you'll misread the room too, missing tension building beneath a calm surface or overreacting to signals that aren't actually a threat.
